It all began Thirty Six years ago when the Charismatic RenewalTeam of St Ann's Church under the leadership of Msgr. Michael Kosak came to St. Patrick at the invitation of Father Furey, Pastor of St. Patrick Church to present the
"Life in the Spirit" seminar. That was the beginning of our new way of living. St Patrick Charismatic Prayer Group was born.
Over the years we have witness the wonderful testimony of the Holy Spirit working in the lives and hearts of our prayer group.
Our ministerial efforts focuses on: Deepening our Spirituality through daily personal communal and intercessory prayers.
Faith based on the promise of Jesus Christ "Where three or more are gathered, I am in their midst". Being open to the workings of the Holy Spirit in our lives and openness to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Visiting the sick and shut-ins of our parish. Making evangelization an integral part of our lives.
Service throughout the parish and it's Outreach Programs, helping to create a more vibrant parish.
We have experienced many changes in our parish and even in the Prayer Group over the years. Many of the original leaders are no longer with us, however a few are still with us they are Mrs Inez Walker, Mrs Tina Tuitt and of course Mrs. Jeanne Garcia who is still very active in the Prayer Group. In our efforts to make Jesus loved and known and share our faith, we sponsored a Annual Women's Conference for 10 years From 2000 -2010. Our last conference we included the Men of the Parish, the theme "Responding to The Call". The Lord calls each and everyone of us, it is both an invitation and a challenged.
Prayer is the key that has kept us over the years, it is the key that opens up the treasures of God's mercies and blessings.
Enhancing collaboration with our Parish we have sponsored the following events through the years;
We are about 20 active members, we continue with the same enthusiasm and openness to the working of the Holy Spirit. We thank God for blessing us each day, we thank Him for His mercies which are new to us each day, they are never exhausted. We pray that our renewed Hymn of Praise continue to build up the Kingdom of God here at St Patrick Church and Community.
On Monday, February 12, 2018 we will celebrate our 36th Anniversary at the 8:00am Holy Mass
"To God be the Glory! Great things He has done"
